Seminars are located throughout the Northeast USA. Call us for information on our next DoD Seminar.
Winco ID invites you join our Department of Defense Seminar Series focused on helping suppliers, subcontractors, and Primes comply with the labeling requirements of MIL-STD-130 including UID and MIL-STD-129 including RFID. Industry leaders with first-hand experience developing or meeting military labeling requirements, RFID printing and encoding, and UID labeling are present to help you comply with military contract labeling specifications.
In addition to presentation materials, interactive, hands-on demonstrations are included. Our one-on-one discussions provide a forum for you to present your specific questions or applications. Here are some of the topics that are covered:
MIL-STD-130 - UID and Product Labeling
- What is UID, Deciphering the UID Code, Printing the UID Code,
and the UID Registry.
- UID Quality Control and how
to be sure your marks are in
full compliance.
- ABC’s of validation and verification and why it’s important.
MIL-STD-129 - Shipping, Pallets and Cartons/RFID
- What changed in Change 4?
- What you need to do to meet the requirements of MIL-STD-129?
Are you required to use RFID?
- Unit Level Packing Requirements.
- RFID Labeling on difficult products (metal, irregular surfaces, etc.)
- RFID Asset Tracking.
Managing the Data and Workflow
- How to automate WAWF and UID Registry submission.
- Communicate with leading partners via AIA Standard.
- Comprehensive workflow oriented approach to RFID and UID labeling.
Deadlines are being enforced, and regulation details are numerous. Mandates are changing; making it
difficult for some to comply and others to know when they are truly in compliance. Those who are not ready or are found to be non-compliant face the possibility of incurring high penalties, delayed shipments and loss of contract business.
In just a few hours, we will show you how to simplify volumes of specification regulations, manage the data, and be sure you are in compliance. |

UID Forum - Booth #22
September 8 -10, 2009
Orlando, Florida
The UID Forum provides practical guidance to help educate military program managers and DoD contractors achieve successful UID implementation. Winco ID featured a complete UID and RFID workflow solution. Visitors learned ways to help simplify compliance with UID policies, meet critical deadlines, and avoid costly penalties.
The UID Policy implemented by the DoD is not going away. It’s only getting stronger. If you hold a government contract (or if you don’t but your customers do) you will need to become familiar with the 2D Data Matrix code and the labeling requirements.
If you didn't make it to the UID Forum in Orlando, call Winco ID to learn how we can help you get in compliance, overcome some of the challenges of implementation and further benefit from an integrated UID workflow in your operation.

Eastec - Booth #5035
May 19 - 21, 2009
Eastern States Exposition Grounds, 1305 Memorial Avenue,
W. Springfield, Massachusetts
Hosted by Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
Since 1979, EASTEC has kept East Coast manufacturing on the move with innovative technologies, ground-breaking ideas, and profitable business connections.

EASTEC delivered on the promise that manufacturers of various industries would have a lot to take in. With the five technology-focused exhibit areas, attendees explored the latest machine tools, cutting tools, assembly technologies, waterjet equipment, measurement systems, drilling machines, lasers, controls, and much more.
Winco ID had the pleasure of meeting many visitors who stopped by our booth to find out how to comply with Military Labeling Standards, how to improve their current labeling, and others who were just getting started and had some interesting, unique labeling challenges.
Many were interested in the mobile labeling workstation. With on-board power, you can take your labeling equipment to places where it is needed for short-term projects, hard to reach areas of your manufacturing plant, and easily share equipment to maximize your investments.
If you missed the show or our booth, please contact us to learn how we can help you simplify your labeling and barcode process.

Electronics New England - Booth #1017
April 22 - 23, 2009
Boston Convention & Exhibition Center
Boston, Massachusetts

Winco ID exhibited at Electronics New England, a combined show focused on manufacturing. Our staff met with our customers and those looking to improve their manufacturing processes. Those who came by:
- Learned how simple changes to your labeling process can increase productivity and accuracy in the manufacturing or assembly operations.
- Saw how compliance with the US Government Military Labeling Standards (MIL-STD-130, MIL-STD-129) doesn't have to complicated.
- Gained a better understanding of how to manage the WAWF workflow.
- Saw our self-powered, mobile cart loaded with wireless scanners, portable printers, consumables, and lap tops for a truly mobile workstation.
- Realized that mobile workstations can help maximize the use of printers for cost savings and increased accuracy.
- Were interested in full color labels with their company logo and sequential data to mark products without the full investment in hardware and software.

And that's just the beginning! If you were not able to attend the show, please give us a call at 1-800-325-5260. We're not just a product company. Winco ID provides bar code and labeling solutions specific to your application complete with service, installation and training. |
