Meet industry leaders with first-hand experience with RFID technology, UID implementation and compliance solutions for DoD Suppliers and Subcontractors. This session is focused on helping you comply with the labeling requirements of MIL-STD-130 and MIL-STD-129. In just a few hours, you will learn:

MIL-STD-130 - UID and Product Labeling

  • What is UID,Deciphering the UID Code, Printing the UID Code,
    and the UID Registry.
  • UID Quality Control and how to be sure your marks are in full compliance.
  • ABC’s of validation and verification and why it’s important.

MIL-STD-129 - Shipping, Pallets and Cartons/RFID

  • What changed in Change 4?
  • What you need to do to meet the requirements of MIL-STD-129 including RFID.
  • Unit Level Packing Requirements.
  • RFID Labeling on difficult products (metal, irregular surfaces, etc.)
  • RFID Asset Tracking.

Deadlines are being enforced, and regulation details are numerous. Mandates are changing; making it difficult for some to comply and others to know when they are truly in compliance. Those who are not ready or are found to be non-compliant face the possibility of incurring high penalties, delayed shipments and loss of contract business.

Know your options, how to get in compliance quickly and easily and be sure your business is protected. Winco ID and our partners offer a resource of compliance solutions. This seminar will show you what you need to know to meet Military Labeling Standards and make the right choices for your success.

We look forward to seeing you.

Winco ID Exhibited at Nepcon East / Assembly / OEM Tradeshow
April 30 - May 1, 2008
Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Boston, Massachusetts

Many people took advantage of the clearing weather to come out to Nepcon East for new ideas and technologies to improve their manufacturing and assembly processes.

The team from WincoID enjoyed the opportunity to meet face-to-face and talk about labeling, bar coding and how to solve identification challenges that businesses of all sizes face every day. Here are a few ways we will be working with those who came by our booth:

Kapton for PCB Labeling
  • Contract Manufacturers who just signed a contract involving the DoD are now under MIL-STD-130 requirements to use UID labels. Our UID Product Manager will be helping our customer to understand the most effective ways to comply and quickly determine if it is best to use our label printing service or invest in a UID printing system.
  • Electronics Manufacturers found the print and apply system a great way to get those small labels on the PCB, quickly and accurately placed. This is a great time saver. Many models are available to increase the functionality of printing and applying labels on units or components while on conveyor belts, or at rapid speeds while in production.
  • Several printers were available for demonstration: the Datamax M-Class and the H-Class. Winco ID will be working with those just starting to use bar codes or thermal transfer printing technology, want to incorporate RFID or need to do high resolution printing in a high volume setting.
  • Several start up companies looking for just a few labels were pleased to learn about our label printing service. They get color labels with their company logo, sequential data to mark their products without the full investment in hardware and software.

And that's just the beginning. If you have labeling, bar code or RFID applications you would like to talk with us about, please give us a call.
